General provisions

16.24.020

Minimum lot area and width for industrial subdivisions shall be as stipulated in the zoning ordinance, but not less than ten thousand square feet in area and seventy-five feet in width.

16.24.0301 standards

Minimum lot area and width for commercial subdivisions is five thousand square feet area and fifty feet width, provided that the planning commission may reduce the lot sizes not more than fifty percent when the total lot size and land used for parking and landscaping in undivided interest equals the required lot size.

16.24.0405 standards

Minimum lot area and width for residential subdivisions shall be six thousand square feet area and sixty feet width, unless greater lot area and width is stipulated in the zoning ordinance for the area to be subdivided.

16.24.0509 standards

Blocks shall not be longer than one thousand two hundred feet between intersecting street lines... Street trees, not less than one tree per lot; average spacing forty feet on center.

17.08.0301 standards

The planning commission shall act as, or it may appoint three or more of its members to act as, an architectural review committee to review and approve the architectural and general appearance of buildings, structures and grounds...

17.08.0401 standards

Where chimneys, cupolas, steeples, poles, monuments, storage tanks or towers, windmills, and similar structures and mechanical appurtenances are permitted in a district, height limits may be exceeded upon the securing of a use permit in each case.

17.08.0501 standards

Building features such as awnings, cornices, and eaves may extend not more than two feet into any required yard. Fireplaces not exceeding six feet in breadth may extend not more than two feet into a required yard. Open, uncovered porches or landings which are raised less than thirty inches above the nearest lot line's natural elevation, and stairs, may extend not more than two feet into any required side yard, nor more than six feet into any required rear or front yard. In any such case a lesser setback may be allowed upon the securing of a use permit; provided, however, that in no case shall any such projection extend closer than three feet to the nearest lot line.

17.30.0601 standards

In the M district, all solid waste and recycling facilities that would be visible from a public street or from a residential or highway commercial district shall be screened on all sides by a solid wood or masonry wall at least six feet in height.

17.30.060.G1 standards

Developments which provide additional secure bicycle parking over and above the minimum requirement may reduce the parking requirement by one vehicle space for every four additional bicycle spaces provided with a standard stationary bicycle rack. The maximum reduction ... is two percent of required off-street parking.

17.30.060.H1 standards

all commercial uses having an off-street parking requirement of ten or more spaces shall provide secure bicycle parking at a minimum of ten percent of the requirement for off-street vehicle parking spaces.

17.30.060.I7 standards

All truck loading/unloading facilities shall be located on the parcel where the primary business is located, shall be sited outside of the required front, side or rear setback areas and at least one hundred feet from any residential district... A loading space shall not be less than twelve feet in width and forty feet in length, with a vertical clearance of not less than fourteen feet.

17.30.060.J2 standards

All exterior lighting shall face downward and be fully shielded to reduce nighttime glare and shall be turned off during the nighttime hours between eleven p.m. and six a.m. except as follows: ...

17.30.0703 standards

Emergency shelters shall not be located: Immediately adjacent to any R-1 district; or Within three hundred feet of another similar program and one thousand feet from an elementary school, middle school, high school, or public park.

17.38.040 - Cafes—Restaurants—Cocktail lounges5 standards

Cocktail lounges which are carried on as a clearly secondary operation in conjunction with a bona fide restaurant operation may be permitted... The area of any cocktail lounge shall not constitute more than twenty-five percent of the total floor area of the dining room and cocktail lounge. Cafes, restaurants and cocktail lounges may have an outside eating or service area provided that it does not exceed fifty percent of the floor area within a building.

17.38.045 - Caretakers' residences5 standards

One permanent accessory dwelling is permitted for purposes of housing a caretaker where allowed by certain commercial or industrial zones... subject to the following standards and approval of a conditional use permit.
