General provisions
41 rules that bind every district rather than one — sign regulations, parking, floodplain and the rest of the code’s citywide chapters.
The total floor area of an attached accessory dwelling unit shall not exceed 1,500 square feet or 50% of the size of the primary dwelling unit, whichever is less.
The specific plan zone will apply to all properties lying within the bounds of a specific plan that has been adopted by resolution or ordinance of the Board of Supervisors.

A tree removal permit is required to trench, grade or fill within the dripline of any tree or destroy, kill, remove, or seriously harm, any tree, as defined, on all property, public or private, in the R-1 and RM zones.
