Chapter 21.75

It is the purpose of this Chapter to provide a means whereby development normally requiring discretionary approvals under this Title may be considered without the normally required public hearing processes to meet an emergency situation.

Chapter 21.769 standards

The provisions of this Chapter shall apply in all zoning districts in the unincorporated areas of Monterey County.

Chapter 21.9216 standards

The purpose of this Chapter is to provide clear and consistent regulations to mitigate the loss of farmland due to development or conversion to non-agricultural uses in the unincorporated inland areas of the County of Monterey.

Chapter C1 standards

Any residential development of 25+ units, or any new/expanded commercial/industrial/tourist development employing 50+ persons or 25,000+ sq ft is subject to Section 21.64.250.

Chapter C (following 21.32.070)1 standards

The following types of development are subject to Section 21.64.250 (Regulations for the Reduction of Vehicle Trips) of this Title: a. Any residential development of twenty-five (25) or more units; b. Any new or expanded commercial or industrial development which will employ fifty (50) or more persons; c. Any new or expanded commercial or industrial development of twenty-five thousand (25,000) gross square feet or more.

Ord. No. 5177, § 555 standards

Qualifying units shall be comparable in number of bedrooms, exterior appearance and overall quality of construction to the market rate units... The applicant will be required to enter into and record a Density Bonus Housing Agreement with the County.

Section 21.54.08012 standards

Except as otherwise provided, no alteration may be allowed on any area in an 'HR' District without the approval of a Use Permit pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 21.74 of this Title.

Section 21.64.1402 standards

Genetic engineering experiments are an allowed use on properties designated by the Monterey County General Plan, area plans or coastal land use plans as Farmlands, Permanent Grazing, Rural Grazing, Agricultural Conservation or Agricultural Preservation, except as provided in subsection E.2. below and provided such experiments have been approved by the Agricultural Commissioner.
