Signage

• Temporary sign design standards

  Day-glow and fluorescent colors are prohibited. Lettering shall be of professional quality, done in uniform, readily legible characters. Signs shall be constructed of materials that can withstand outdoor weather conditions, such as cloth, canvas, or vinyl plastic. Paper and cardboard are prohibited materials.

• Temporary sign illumination prohibitedProhibitedNot allowed in the district at all, short of rezoning or a variance.

  Temporary signs shall not be illuminated.

• Temporary sign maximum area for properties without a building32 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  For properties without a building, temporary signs shall not in the aggregate exceed thirty-two square feet in area.

  Temporary signs shall not in the aggregate exceed one square foot per linear foot of building or tenant space frontage.

• Temporary sign maximum cumulative days per calendar year90 days

  for no more than a cumulative ninety days within any calendar year.

• Temporary sign maximum posting duration30 days

  Temporary signs shall be posted for no more than thirty consecutive days

• Temporary sign maximum number per property2 count

  No property shall have more than two temporary signs at one time.

• Temporary sign minimum interval between postings30 days

  separated from other occasions by a period of not less than thirty days

• Temporary sign removal after event7 days

  Any such sign shall be removed within seven days of the conclusion of any time-specific event associated with such signage.
