Parking

• Maximum maneuvering area reduction4 ft

  The required width may be reduced by a maximum of four (4) feet if one or more of the following applies...

• Maximum parking distance from unit200 ft

  Required spaces including guest or unassigned spaces shall be off-street and located within two hundred (200) feet walking distance along a pedestrian path

• Minimum covered parking space length20 ft

  Each required covered off-street parking space shall be in a garage or carport a minimum of ten (10) feet in width and twenty (20) feet in length

• Minimum covered parking space width10 ft

  Each required covered off-street parking space shall be in a garage or carport a minimum of ten (10) feet in width and twenty (20) feet in length

• Minimum driveway width for 2-4 units, one-way12 ft

  Driveways providing access to garages, carports and uncovered parking areas serving two (2), three (3) or four (4) dwelling units shall be paved to a minimum of twelve (12) feet wide for one-way traffic

• Minimum driveway width for 2-4 units, two-way16 ft

  and sixteen (16) feet wide for two-way traffic

• Minimum driveway width for 5+ units, one-way12 ft

  Driveways providing access to garages, carports and uncovered parking areas serving five (5) or more dwelling units shall be paved to a minimum of twelve (12) feet wide for one-way traffic

• Minimum driveway width for 5+ units, two-way24 ft

  and twenty-four (24) feet wide for two-way traffic

• Minimum garage distance from alley5 ft

  attached and detached garages and carports may be placed anywhere within the rear setback area to within a minimum of five (5) feet from such alley, private street or common driveway.

• Minimum garage entry distance from ROW20 ft

  attached and detached garages shall be located so that the garage entry is a minimum of twenty (20) feet, at the closest point from the right-of-way.

• Minimum garage entry distance for roll-up door18 ft

  However, if the garage has a roll-up door, that distance may be reduced to eighteen (18) feet.

• Minimum maneuvering area for carport28 ft

  Carports: Twenty-eight (28) feet of unobstructed area (measured from outward end of parking stall)

• Minimum maneuvering area for side-entry garage30 ft

  Side-entry and Detached Garages: Thirty (30) feet of unobstructed area (measured from garage door to opposite end of driveway)

• Minimum maneuvering area for uncovered parking24 ft

  Uncovered parking: Twenty-four (24) feet of unobstructed area (measured from outward end of parking stall)

• Minimum single-familySingle-family dwellingOne dwelling unit on its own lot, usually detached from its neighbours. driveway width10 ft

  Single-family residence driveways shall be paved to a minimum of ten (10) feet in width from access street or alley to the garage maneuvering area.

• Minimum uncovered parking space length18 ft

  Uncovered off-street parking spaces shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet in width and eighteen (18) feet in length per parking space.
