- No backing out into public street
All off-street parking, except parking for single-family and duplex residential uses, shall be designed so vehicles do not back out of the parking area into a public street. Utilizing a public alley for back up space is acceptable.
- Residential alley access requirement
For parcels in residential districts which abut both a street (designated on the city general plan land use map as either a "thoroughfare" or a "collector") and an improved public alley, the vehicular ingress and egress shall be from the alley, and not from the street.
