Signage

• Appurtenant sign area for non-residential uses24 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  One sign of up to twenty-four (24) square feet is allowed.

• Additional appurtenant sign area with Administrative Permit75 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  An additional two signs (single or double-faced), with a maximum display area of up to seventy-five (75) square feet in the aggregate may be allowed subject to an Administrative Permit (Chapter 21.70) in each case.

• Appurtenant sign heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first.6 ft

  The height may not exceed six feet if freestanding, or if attached to a structure, the sign may not be higher than the roof line or parapet of the wall.

  The signs shall not exceed thirty-five (35) square feet in the aggregate per street frontage, except as stated in subparagraph f, below.

  If street frontage exceeds three hundred (300) feet on any street, one sign per one hundred fifty (150) feet of frontage shall be allowed; these signs are limited to sixty-four (64) square feet in the aggregate per frontage with no single sign exceeding thirty-five (35) square feet.
