  • Exempt sign types

    Traffic control and safety signs; Signs required or authorized by federal, state or county law; Images painted on or attached flat to the surface of an automobile, truck, airplane or boat that do not constitute general advertising; Signs providing functional information and warning about utilities and safety matters not exceeding four square feet each; Signs prohibiting trespassing and hunting not exceeding two square feet each; Advertising signs on buses and taxis; Signs attached to bus stops and shelters; Directional, warning, or identification signs not exceeding two square feet for petroleum drilling and extraction activities.
