Noise

  • Noise standard

    No equipment or process used shall create noise, vibration, glare, fumes, dust, odors, smoke, electrical interference or other impacts in excess of those customarily generated by single-family residential uses in the neighborhood, nor shall noise exceed the one (1) or two (2) family residential standards in Appendix A at the nearest off-site dwelling unit.

  • Maximum customers per day10 customers/day

    Not more than ten (10) customers or clients shall come to premises during any one (1) day, restricted to the hours 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • Maximum number of employees (in addition to family)3 employees

    Not more than three (3) employees working on the premises in addition to the members of the family residing on the premises;

  • The area occupied by all uses within the cottage industry, including storage, shall not exceed two thousand (2,000) square feet.

  • Preservation of residential character

    The particular uses conducted by the cottage industry, and their operation and appearance, shall not change or disturb the residential or rural character of the premises or its surroundings.
