  • Any containers provided for afterhours donation of recyclable materials shall be permanently located at least 100 feet from any residential zone, constructed of sturdy, rust proof or painted material, have sufficient capacity to accommodate materials collected, and be secured from unauthorized entry or removal of materials.

    Facilities shall be provided with identification and information signs as follows, provided the signs are consistent with Chapter 17.48. 1. Collection containers and reverse vending machines shall be clearly marked to identify the type of material which may be deposited, and display a notice stating that discarded material shall not be left outside of the recycling container or machine; 2. The facility shall be clearly marked to identify the name and telephone number of the operator and the hours of operation; and 3. Additional informational or directional signs may be approved by the Director if found necessary to facilitate traffic circulation, or if the facility is not visible from a public right-of-way.

  • A small collection facility shall not occupy more than 500 square feet or three parking spaces, not, including space that would be periodically needed for the removal of materials or exchange of containers.
