- Building permit required
A building permit for the permanent dwelling must be issued prior to installation of a temporary unit.
- Extension possible
A request for an extension of time can be considered upon written request to the planning department.
- Removal requirement
All temporary units must be removed upon completion of the permanent dwelling or within one year of issuance of the building permit for the permanent dwelling (whichever occurs first). If a manufactured home is installed, the unit must be removed from the property within sixty days after completion of the permanent dwelling.
- Sewer and water confirmation required
The property owner must obtain written confirmation from the environmental health department that it has been determined that both sewer and water service exist on the parcel acceptable to that department.
