  • Sign area computation method

    The area of a sign comprised of a combination of letters, numerals, or other devices, a logo or other graphic element, and a symbol or other device that is not a letter, numeral, or logo shall be computed as the total area of all of the letters, numerals, or other devices, including the spaces between the letters, numerals, or other devices, and the spaces between the letters, numerals, or other devices and the edge of the sign, plus the area of the logo or other graphic element, computed as the area of the smallest rectangle that will encompass the logo or other graphic element, plus the area of the symbol or other device, computed as the area of the smallest rectangle that will encompass the symbol or other device.
