Signage

• Off-premises directional sign background color

  All off-premises directional signs, except those permitted under section 24.1-706(b) below, shall have a background color of green, blue or brown with white letters.

• Maximum area for off-premises directional signs8 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  Such signs shall be limited to a maximum area of eight (8) square feet and a maximum height of six (6) feet and shall comply with all other applicable provisions of this article.

• Open house signs must have identification tag

  Each sign shall contain an identification tag, either attached or permanently affixed to the sign, which contains the name, address and phone number of the signs owner.

  No such sign shall exceed three (3) square feet in area and three feet (3') in height.
