Lighting

• Allowed light sources

  Only incandescent, fluorescent, metal halide, color corrected high-pressure sodium, or LED light sources may be used.

• Full cutoff fixtures required

  all lighting fixtures shall be full cutoff fixtures.

• Lighting plan required with major site plan

  A lighting plan shall be submitted in conjunction with a required major site plan.

• Maximum lighting fixture heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first. within 50 feet of residential use15 ft

  All light fixtures located within 50 feet of any residential use or residential property boundary shall not exceed 15 feet in height.

• Maximum lighting fixture heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first. in non-vehicular pedestrian areas15 ft

  and shall be a maximum of 15 feet in height within non-vehicular pedestrian areas.

  The maximum height for lighting fixtures shall be a maximum of 30 feet within vehicular use areas

• Maximum luminance at property boundary0.5 fc

  Maximum luminance levels shall not exceed 0.5-foot candles at the property boundary except as required herein.

• Blinking or flashing lights prohibitedProhibitedNot allowed in the district at all, short of rezoning or a variance.

  Blinking or flashing lights shall be prohibited unless the lights are required as a safety feature (e.g. beacons on towers).
