Minimum lot area required for attached apartment: 5,000 square feet. Accessory apartments shall be attached to the principal dwelling and no new entrance or other exterior modifications shall be visible from the street to suggest the presence of the accessory apartment. Maximum floor area of such apartments shall not exceed 400 square feet or one-half the size of the principal dwelling, whichever is less. Minimum lot area required for detached apartments: 10,000 square feet. Maximum floor area of such apartments shall not exceed 600 square feet or one-half the size of the principal dwelling, whichever is less.
