Floodplain

Electrical control panels in permitted structures shall be mounted above the design flood elevation.

Fully enclosed areas below the regulatory flood protection elevation shall not be designed or used for human habitation, but shall only be used for parking of vehicles, building access, or limited storage of maintenance equipment.

The manufactured home chassis is supported by reinforced piers or other foundation elements of at least an equivalent strength, of no less than 36 inches in height above the grade.

Streets and sidewalks should be designed to minimize their potential for increasing and aggravating the levels of flood flow.

All utilities, such as gas lines, electrical and telephone systems being placed in floodprone areas should be located, elevated, where possible, and constructed to minimize the chance of impairment during a flooding occurrence.
- Water systems designed to minimize infiltration
All new or replacement water facilities shall be designed to minimize or eliminate infiltration of floodwaters into the system.

No land shall be developed and no structure shall be located, relocated, constructed, reconstructed, enlarged or structurally altered in the -FO district except in full compliance with the terms and provisions of this section and any other applicable ordinances and regulations which apply to uses within the jurisdiction of this section.
