• Landscape area width adjacent to buildings in C-1 and M-110 ft

  A landscape area which is a minimum of 10 feet wide shall be provided adjacent to the front and sides of buildings exclusive of reasonably sized areas for entrances.

• Clear-cutting prohibition

  Commercial timber clear-cutting operations are prohibited within the jurisdiction of the Town of Warsaw.

• Grade change threshold requiring tree wells6 in

  Where grade changes in excess of six inches (6") from the existing natural grade level are necessary, permanent protective structures such as tree wells or walls shall be properly installed.

• Landscaped island width6 ft

  Landscaped island of not less than six feet (6') in width, planted with one shade tree.

• Maximum continuous parking spaces without island10 spaces

  No more than ten (10) parking spaces shall be permitted in a continuous row without being interrupted by a landscaped island of not less than six feet (6') in width.

• Minimum shade trees per residential lot3 trees

  There shall be planted, if none exist, a minimum of three shade trees per residential lot in the front yard or that yard where shading of the structure will be maximized.

• Percentage of parking lot interior to be landscaped5 pct

  Five percent (5%) of the total area of the interior of any parking, loading and other vehicular use area shall be landscaped.

• Landscaped buffer width along rights-of-way for commercial/industrial20 ft

  For lots zoned commercial and industrial possessing on-site parking lots fronting on the right-of-way, a twenty (20) foot wide landscaped buffer area shall be provided between the right-of-way and on-site parking.

• Shade tree spacing along streets40 ft

  Shade trees shall be planted at forty (40) to fifty (50) intervals.

• Shade trees per 10 parking spaces2 trees

  Shade trees within parking areas shall be provided at a minimum rate of two (2) trees per ten (10) parking spaces.

• Shrubs per 10 parking spaces2 shrubs

  Shrubs shall be planted at a rate of two (2) shrubs per ten parking spaces.

• Slope threshold for undisturbed vegetation25 pct

  Natural vegetation existing on slopes of twenty-five percent (25%) or greater, in wetlands, and within 100 feet of a perennial watercourse or wetland, shall be left undisturbed as a buffer area during development.

• Mulch depth for exposed roots2 in

  A two (2) inch layer of mulch shall be applied over the surface of exposed roots during and after development.

  This area shall contain a number of trees and shrubs equal to at least one ornamental tree or five shrubs per 200 square feet of planting area provided.

  Within 100 feet of a perennial watercourse or wetland, natural vegetation shall be left undisturbed.
