Parking

  • Curb cuts shall be provided within thirty (30) feet of each accessible entrance sidewalk to the structure.

  • Grade of not more than one (1) foot in twelve (12) feet.

  • Maximum spacing between curb cuts150 ft

    Curb cuts shall not be more than one hundred fifty (150) feet apart.

  • The curb cut shall not be less than four (4) feet wide and shall have a grade of not more than one (1) foot in twelve (12) feet.

  • Fractional spaces round up

    Where fractional spaces result, the parking or loading spaces required shall be construed to be the next highest whole number.

  • Off-street parking areas shall be located within the rear and side yards only unless applicant demonstrates necessity or buffering. This requirement shall not apply to single family dwellings.

  • Handicapped parking space grade

    The grade of parking spaces for the physically handicapped shall not be more than one (1) foot in twenty (20) feet.

  • Parking spaces for the physically handicapped shall be identified by signs, each of which shall not exceed two square feet in area.

  • These signs should generally be located eight (8) feet above grade. Where placed flush against buildings, height may be reduced to six (6) feet.

  • Landscaped median width between parking rows10 ft

    Single row or line of spaces within a bay should be separated from access or circulation drives by ten (10) foot wide landscaped medians for the full length of a bay and at the ends of parking rows.

  • Loading areas not for parking

    No area allocated to loading and unloading facilities may be used to satisfy the area requirements for off-street parking, nor vice versa.

  • Loading berth dimensions

    Each berth consists of a space at least twelve (12) feet wide and forty (40) feet long, with fourteen (14) feet of overhead clearance.

  • Maximum parking spaces per bay60 spaces

    Parking areas shall be separated into modular parking bays or lots containing not greater than sixty (60) spaces each.

  • Parking spaces no more than minimum required

    Minimum off-street parking and loading requirements may only be exceeded where demonstrated necessary for operation.

  • Shared parking allowed

    Shared parking facilities where parking available is below minimum requirements shall be allowable when functional nature allows differing peak hour demands, with perpetual easement.

  • Sidewalk grade

    Grade of not more than one (1) foot in twenty (20) feet.

  • Sidewalk side slope

    Sidewalks shall have a side slope not greater than one (1) inch in four (4) feet.

  • Small car spaces percentage for nonresidential30 pct

    Small car spaces may be provided for up to thirty (30) percent of all required spaces for nonresidential uses.

Off-street parking requirements. Parking spaces shall be sized in accordance with Exhibit 10. Small car spaces may be provided for up to 30% of required spaces for nonresidential uses. Loading berths at least 12 ft wide and 40 ft long with 14 ft overhead clearance.
