Lighting

• Maximum light fixture heightMaximum heightThe tallest a building may be, given in feet, in storeys, or both — whichever binds first. (commercial/industrial)40 ft

  In no case shall the light fixtures in the Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts exceed 40 feet in height.

  Light fixtures, including mounting base, shall not be more than 25 feet in height above finished grade.

• Maximum lighting along building fronts10 footcandles

  Ten footcandles along fronts of buildings and along main drive aisles.

• Maximum lighting at property line (commercial/industrial)1 footcandles

  Lighting levels shall not exceed 1.0 footcandle at any common property line and road right-of-way with property zoned or used for commercial or industrial uses.

• Maximum lighting for high-security areas20 footcandles

  Twenty footcandles for high-security areas, such as, but not limited to, motor display areas, vehicle fueling stations canopies, automated teller machines (ATMs)

• Maximum lighting for parking lots and loading areas5 footcandles

  Five footcandles for parking lots and loading areas.

• Maximum lighting at property line (residential/agriculturalAgricultureRaising crops or livestock, generally including the structures that serve them.)0.2 footcandles

  Lighting levels shall not exceed 0.2 footcandle at any common property line in the residential and agricultural zoned districts.
