An exempt poultry operation initiated after the enactment of this section which exceeds the slaughtering of more than 1,000 animals per calendar year shall constitute a violation of this chapter.

All exempt poultry abattoir operations shall be on a parcel of 20 acres or more under single ownership.
- Nutrient management plan required
An exempt poultry abattoir property owner shall file with the Zoning Administrator a nutrient management form containing the following information, prior to obtaining a certificate of zoning and/or a building/agricultural permit.
- Only one abattoir structure1 structure
There shall be no more than one structure for use as a poultry abattoir on the property.

- Site plan required
Each application for an exempt poultry abattoir shall be accompanied by a site plan of the entire parcel, with location of proposed facility drawn to scale and in sufficient detail to show that the proposed abattoir operation meets all applicable setback requirements.
- Annual well water testing for e-coli and coliform
The property owner shall have their well water tested annually for e-coli and coliform bacteria, and a copy of the results shall be submitted to the Planning and Health Departments.

Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, an exempt poultry operation initiated after the enactment of this section which exceeds the slaughtering of more than 1,000 animals per calendar year shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
