Other

  • No change in outside appearance

    There shall be no change in the outside appearance of the building or premises or other visible evidence of the conduct of such home occupation other than one nonilluminated sign.

  • Employees restriction

    No person other than members of the family residing on the premises shall be engaged in such occupation.

  • Excluded uses

    Boarding- and rooming houses, tourist homes, bed-and-breakfast homes and private educational institutions shall not be deemed home occupations.

  • Not more than 25% of the floor area of the dwelling unit shall be used in the conduct of the home occupation.

  • No noise, vibration, glare, fumes, dust or odors

    No equipment or process shall be used in a home occupation which creates noise, vibration, glare, fumes, dust or odors detectable to normal senses outside the dwelling unit.

  • Traffic generation limit

    No traffic shall be generated by a home occupation in greater volume than would normally be expected in a residential neighborhood.

A home occupation is a use conducted entirely within a dwelling unit clearly incidental and subordinate to its use for residential purposes by its occupants. Home occupations shall be confined to the principal structure, wherein not more than 25% of the floor area of the dwelling unit shall be used in the conduct of the home occupation.
