Floodplain

  • Prohibition of encroachments

    Encroachments, including fill, new construction, substantial improvements and other developments shall be prohibited, with the exception of accessory structures used solely for storage of recreation equipment and property maintenance equipment.

  • The placement of manufactured homes (mobile homes) is prohibited, except in an existing manufactured homes (mobile homes) park or subdivision.

  • Permit requirement

    All development shall require a floodplain determination and shall have a zoning and building permit issued if it is deemed to be a qualifying accessory structure, fence and any land disturbance or erosion stabilization.

  • Substantially damaged structures

    Substantially damaged structures shall meet all permitting requirements and flood hazard reduction provisions of § 180-16K.
