Sec. 203. - Off-street parking requirements.

Parking

• Maximum aisle width24 ft

  Aisle width shall not exceed twenty-four (24) feet unless required for emergency access or off-street loading per section 204.

• Minimum aisle width in parking garage23 ft

  in any parking garage or parking structure a drive aisle adjacent to a parking space which is less than nine (9) feet by eighteen (18) feet shall be at least twenty-three (23) feet in width

• Bicycle spaces requirement

  All development in the apartment, office or business districts requiring twenty five (25) or more parking spaces shall have a minimum of five (5) bicycle spaces within two hundred (200) yards of the building, in a visible area. Each additional fifty (50) parking spaces above the first twenty-five (25) shall require one (1) additional bicycle space.

• Compact car space minimum length17 ft

  the minimum dimensions shall be eight (8) by seventeen (17) feet for regular compact car spaces or eight (8) by twenty (20) feet for parallel compact car spaces

• Compact car space minimum width8 ft

  the minimum dimensions shall be eight (8) by seventeen (17) feet for regular compact car spaces or eight (8) by twenty (20) feet for parallel compact car spaces

• Maximum compact car spaces percentage30 pct

  a maximum of thirty percent (30%) of the spaces provided may be designated for compact cars

• Maximum parking above required percentage50 pct

  In the business, apartment and office districts the number of off-street parking spaces shall not exceed the required number by more than fifty percent (50%).

• Motorcycle space dimensions

  one (1) space per every thirty (30) spaces shall be designated motorcycle spaces to accommodate motorcycles, motor scooters, or other licensed vehicles, with dimensions of four (4) by eight (8) feet

• Parallel parking space minimum length22 ft

  minimum dimensions for all parallel parking spaces shall be nine (9) feet by twenty-two (22) feet

• Parallel parking space minimum width9 ft

  minimum dimensions for all parallel parking spaces shall be nine (9) feet by twenty-two (22) feet

• Parking garage space minimum length18 ft

  in parking garages and parking structures, minimum dimensions shall be eight (8) feet, nine (9) inches by eighteen (18) feet

• Parking garage space minimum width8.75 ft

  in parking garages and parking structures, minimum dimensions shall be eight (8) feet, nine (9) inches by eighteen (18) feet

• Parking space minimum length18 ft

  Any off-street parking space shall have minimum dimensions of nine (9) feet by eighteen (18) feet
