Floodplain
- Enclosed area use
Fully enclosed areas below the regulatory flood protection elevation shall not be designed or used for human habitation, but shall only be used for parking of vehicles, building access, or limited storage of maintenance equipment.

All manufactured homes placed, or substantially improved, on individual lots or parcels, must meet all the requirements for new construction, including the elevation and anchoring requirements.

The bottom of all required openings shall be no higher than one foot above the adjacent grade.

- Drainage design
All storm drainage facilities shall be designed to convey the flow of surface waters without damage to persons or property.

All new or replacement sanitary sewer facilities and private package sewage treatment plants shall be designed to minimize or eliminate infiltration of floodwaters into the systems and discharges from the systems into the floodwaters.
- Street and sidewalk design
Streets and sidewalks should be designed to minimize their potential for increasing and aggravating the levels of flood flow.

Base flood elevation data shall be obtained from other sources or developed using detailed methodologies for subdivision proposals and other proposed development proposals that exceed 50 lots or five acres, whichever is the lesser.
