  • Common open space may include lawn, trees, bandshell, fountains, promenades, seating, dining areas, or other conventional park amenities, but does not include sports courts or fields.

  • North of Main Street - All developments shall contain a common open space element that is central and in use to all buildings and uses located on the lot. Parking lot, buffer, or screening landscaping areas shall not be considered a common open space.

  • Where curb cuts are provided, they must include a safe, convenient, and accessible pedestrian path or marking where it crosses the sidewalk.

  • All setback areas between the front of a building and internal sidewalks and walkways separating buildings and parking areas shall be planted, except for areas for building entrances, ramps or other forms of access. Plantings may include shrubs, ornamental plants and flowers, trees and groundcover.

  • Interior sidewalks and walkways

    Sidewalks and walkways on the lot shall be required to provide pedestrian access between all buildings, parking areas, and common open spaces.

  • Parking location

    All parking shall be located primarily to the side and rear of all buildings; however, a single row of parking spaces and two-way drive isle may be located between the street wall and front lot line along Main Street. North of Main Street - Parking areas shall be arranged along interior streets or roadways and located to serve all buildings or lots within the development.

  • Pedestrian access from parking areas

    Clearly delineated pedestrian areas (painted, raised sidewalks, etc.) shall be provided connecting all parking areas with more than ten spaces to the adjacent sidewalk and building entrances.
