  • Lot coverage is the percentage of the total lot area that is covered by manmade surfaces, such as principal structures; accessory structures over 100 square feet, such as patios, decks, garages, carports, and pools; and other surfaces, such as driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, and areas of gravel, pavers, or pavement; but excluding service walks.

From the ordinance

Building height is the vertical distance from the average finished grade or from the average level of the finished grade at the front building line, if higher, to the highest point of the coping of a flat roof, or to the deck line or highest point of coping or parapet of a mansard roof, or to the mean height level between eaves and ridge for gable, hip, shed, and gambrel roofs.
