Signage

  One temporary sign advertising the sale of farm products grown or produced on the premises, provided the sign does not exceed 12 square feet in area and ten feet in height.

• Sign construction conformance

  All signs must conform to the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and other county ordinances and regulations. All signs permitted by this article shall be constructed of durable materials and must be kept in good condition and repair.

• Sign material

  All structural elements shall be covered with material similar in color and finish to the building it advertises.

• Sign permit required

  No person shall erect any sign visible from public street or open space without a sign permit, except as provided.

• Visibility at commercial entrances

  No sign shall be erected adjacent to a commercial entrance so as to impede vision between 2.5 and 10 feet above center grade of street.
