  • Certificate of Appropriateness Required

    No building or structure shall be erected, reconstructed, altered, or restored within the Old and Historic Occoquan District without an approved certificate of appropriateness.

  • Non-Consideration

    The Board shall not consider interior arrangement, relative size, detailed design, or features not subject to public view.

  • Review Criteria

    The Board shall consider exterior architectural features, general design, texture, material, color, relation to surroundings, harmony with historic aspect, and other factors listed in § 157.179.

No building or structure shall be erected, reconstructed, altered, or restored within the Old and Historic Occoquan District, unless an application for a certificate of appropriateness shall have been approved by the Board.
