  • Special exceptions for downtown improvement program

    The city council may grant a special exception permit only to participants in the city downtown improvement program and may impose such conditions relating to the use as it may deem necessary in the public interest.

  • On the south side of Park Avenue in the central and general business zones there shall be a twelve-foot setback from the street right-of-way.

From the ordinance

In all business zones, there shall be no setback, unless the building is in the same block front as a residential zone and then the setbacks shall be twenty-five (25) feet. On the south side of Park Avenue in the central and general business zones there shall be a twelve-foot setback from the street right-of-way. Maximum height for buildings is not limited except that heights above four (4) stories shall be subject to approval of the fire chief.
