- Shared-Use Path Definition
An asphalt trail designed to serve pedestrians, cyclists, and Micromobility Devices. When along roadways, shared-use paths are physically separated from motorized vehicular traffic and located either completely outside of the public right-of-way and within a public access easement, or completely within the public right-of-way, provided transitions between the two may be necessary at road crossings and other areas.
