  • Danger increase prohibition

    The proposed use must not increase the danger to life and property due to increased destabilization of steep slope areas

  • Land disturbance and revegetation

    Land disturbance within very steep slope areas is limited to the minimum necessary to locate the proposed use, and any disturbed areas that are not covered by paving, stone, or other solid materials must be revegetated

  • Structures on slopes >50%

    Land disturbance within very steep slope areas with slopes greater than 50% is not permitted for any structure

  • Land disturbance on slopes >50%

    Land disturbance within very steep slope areas with slopes greater than 50% is not permitted unless the use, exclusive of any structure, is dependent on such very steep slope area

  • Slope failure prevention

    The proposed use, structure, or use and structure must be located and designed to limit its susceptibility to slippage or slope failure, and there are no alternative locations where the proposed use and/or structure may be located that would not be subject to slippage or slope failure

  • Vegetation clearing

    Clearing of vegetation within very steep slope areas is limited to the minimum necessary to locate the proposed use
