• Blasting hours

  All blasting is limited to the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Minimum tract size for extraction permit50 acresacre43,560 square feet — about the size of an American football field without the end zones.

  No permit for an extraction and mining use will be issued for any tract of land containing less than 50 acres.

• Maximum peak over pressure from blast129 dB

  The peak over pressure (noise) from any blast is limited to 129 dB.

  Airborne noise produced from extractive operations other than blasting must not exceed the 80 dBA maximum.
