    Placing the temporary family health care structure on a permanent foundation shall not be required or permitted.

    Limited to one occupant who shall be the mentally or physically impaired person or, in the case of a married couple, two occupants.

  • Permit

    Must obtain a temporary use permit. Town may not withhold if proof of compliance provided. Annual evidence of compliance required.

  • Removal time60 days

    Shall be removed within 60 days of the date on which the structure was last occupied by a mentally or physically impaired person.

  • Shall comply with all setback requirements that apply to the primary structure.

  • Utilities

    May be required to connect to any water, sewer, and electric utilities that are serving the primary residence.

  • No signage

    No signage advertising or otherwise promoting the existence of the structure shall be permitted.

Temporary family health care structures for use by a caregiver in providing care for a mentally or physically impaired person... is a permitted accessory use to the primary structure in any single-family residential zoning district on lots zoned and used for single-family detached dwellings (R-15, R-10, PD-R [as appropriate], PD-TD and PD-D [as appropriate]) with approval of a temporary use permit... has no more than 300 gross square feet... shall comply with all setback requirements that apply to the primary structure... shall be removed within 60 days of the date on which the structure was last occupied.
