The height of the sign shall be appropriate to the height of the facility located on-site and to the surrounding topography, but in no case shall any sign height exceed forty (40) feet.

Signs, other than those regulated by subsection (f), below, that are erected to be visible from Interstate highways may be permitted as special exceptions in accordance with the following standards: ... 8. The height of the sign shall be appropriate to the height of the facility located on-site and to the surrounding topography, but in no case shall any sign height exceed forty (40) feet.
