  • The hive and all related materials may only be located within the rear yard of the property; the hive shall be a minimum of fifteen (15) feet from all side and rear lot lines; and the hive shall be surrounded by a flyway barrier at least six (6) feet in height consisting of a solid wall or fence, or dense evergreen foliage barrier that is parallel to the property line and extends ten (10) feet beyond the colony in each direction.

  • Maximum 2 production colonies and 1 nucleus

    There shall no more than two (2) production colonies and one (1) nucleus colony kept on the property.

  • Sign required

    The property owner shall conspicuously post a sign warning individuals of the presence of bees. This sign shall include the property owner's name and a telephone number at which the property owner can be reached in case of emergency.

  • Waste cleanup

    All areas associated with the keeping of bees shall be cleaned and made free of waste on a regular basis. All equipment used in the keeping of bees on the property shall be located within the enclosure or otherwise shielded from view.

  • Water source required

    The property owner shall ensure that a convenient source of water located on the property is available to the bees at all times during the year so that the bees will not congregate at swimming pools, pet watering bowls, bird baths or other off-site water sources.
