  • No equipment, including panels, may extend more than twelve (12) feet in height above finished grade of the ground.

  • Panels and other equipment must meet building setbacks of the district regulations for the property.

  • Roof-mounted max 12 inches above roof12 inches

    The facility shall not extend more than twelve (12) inches above the roof surface at maximum tilt and shall not extend further than twelve (12) inches from the outside wall of the building. Solar shingles are considered to be the roof and are not subject to this requirement. A special exception is required for the height of the solar panels to exceed twelve (12) inches above the roof surface or twelve (12) inches from the outside wall. In no case shall the height of the solar panels exceed the maximum building height permitted in the applicable zoning district.

  • Screening with evergreen trees

    Screening, consisting of a staggered double row of evergreen trees planted eight (8) feet on center, is required. The screening shall be installed in such a way as to block the view of the panels and other equipment from public and private roadways and adjoining properties.
