Floodplain

  • Fences in regulated floodways

    Fences in regulated floodways that have the potential to block floodwaters shall meet the limitations of subsection 34-475(d).

All development ... shall be located and constructed to minimize flood damage; meet the limitations of subsection 34-475(d) if located in a regulated floodway; be anchored to prevent flotation, collapse or lateral movement; be constructed of flood damage-resistant materials; and have mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems above the design flood elevation.
