Environmental

All septic systems are hereby required to be installed in an environmentally safe manner, as to prevent degradation of the Withlacoochee River.

Septic tanks should be inspected for sludge and scum accumulation approximately every other year. If inspections are not performed pump-outs should be performed every three to five years.
