New single-family residential septic tanks in the zone of protection will be exempt from this regulation provided they meet the minimum locational criteria of one septic unit per five acres.
- Double pond detention/retention for stormwater
In commercial, industrial, utility, timber, and public-institutional zoning districts stormwater runoff facilities will be required to have a double pond detention/retention system for new facility installations.
- Underground storage tank requirements
New underground storage facilities within the zone of protection shall meet the following requirements: Double-walled tank and piping with a continuous leak detection system in between the walls; or an impervious secondary containment having monitoring well(s) or detector located therein; and for each of the above options, it is required that the facility install and maintain a groundwater monitoring system.
