Signage

A sign permit shall be required for the installation, alteration, or relocation of any sign, except for signs that are less than 6 square feet in area.
Signs that flash, blink, or move; signs placed on trees, utility poles, or other public property; signs that obstruct traffic view; signs not related to the property use are prohibited.

This section shall apply to all signs installed on any property in Frederick County, except for signs required by law. A sign permit shall be required for the installation, alteration, or relocation of any sign, except for signs less than 6 square feet.
