Lighting

  • Streetlights required

    Pedestrian-scale streetlights shall be installed as follows: Streetlights shall be placed on both sides of roads within multi-family, commercial and mixed-use projects.

  • Minimum buffer strip width6 ft

    Buffer strips shall be a minimum of six feet wide from the outside edge of the street curb to the edge of any sidewalk.

  • Automobile sales, rental and leasing; kennel, commercial; and self storage are prohibited.

  • Automobile sales, rental, and leasing; automobile repair; gas station; car wash or auto detailing; kennel, commercial; and self-storage are prohibited.

  • Shared-use paths required

    Shared-use paths shall be provided along the roads specified in Table 19.2-24.2., and the following roads, unless otherwise approved by the Transportation Department.

  • Minimum sidewalk clear zone6 ft

    Where non-residential uses abut the sidewalk, the clear zone shall be no less than six feet.

  • Sidewalks required

    Sidewalks shall be provided on both sides of all roads, except as otherwise provided in this section or as stated below.

  • Street trees required

    Street trees shall be provided along both sides of all public roads and private pavement when designed as a street, in accordance with Zoning Ordinance, except that for commercial, office, and buildings containing non-residential and residential uses within the same building, street trees shall be placed no less than 35 feet on center.
