Design

    All communication towers shall be designed and constructed to accommodate at least two (2) cellular providers.

  • Ancillary equipment setbackSetbackThe distance a building must be held back from a lot line. exemption

    Setbacks of ancillary equipment for approved collocation on an approved tower shall not apply as long as the equipment is located within the existing compound as approved on the final site plan for the tower.

  • Deciduous trees for towers >200 ft2.5 in

    One row of deciduous trees, with a minimum caliper of two and one-half (2½) inches at time of planting, spaced not more than forty (40) feet apart.

  • Evergreen shrubs for towers ≤200 ft5 ft

    At least one row of evergreen shrubs capable of forming a continuous hedge at least five (5) feet in height, spaced not more than five (5) feet apart.

  • Evergreen trees for towers ≤200 ft1.75 in

    At least one row of evergreen trees with a minimum caliper of one and three-fourths (1¾) inches at time of planting, spaced not more than twenty-five (25) feet apart.

  • Illumination of towers

    Communication towers shall be illuminated as required by the Federal Aviation Administration. No lighting shall be incorporated if not required by those agencies or specified by city council.

  • Painting for towers ≤200 ft

    Communication towers two hundred (200) feet or less in height shall have a galvanized finish, be painted silver, or be a natural grey in color.

  • Painting for towers >200 ft

    Communication towers more than two hundred (200) feet in height shall be painted in accordance with regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Signage

  • Signs on towers

    No signs shall be placed on a communication tower if visible beyond the site on which the tower is located.

Communication towers shall only be placed on a lot having a minimum area of two thousand (2,000) square feet... maximum height 199 feet... minimum two paved parking spaces.
