FLOOR AREA (GROSS FLOOR AREA) — The sum of the gross horizontal areas of each covered floor of a building, measured from the outside faces of exterior walls or from the centerline of party walls separating two buildings, but not including areas devoted to vehicle parking, uninhabitable basements, attics, or service/mechanical equipment rooms.
