  • Drainage system design required

    A drainage system design prepared by a registered professional engineer is required which will include detailed construction plans, supportive calculations, and any additional information related or required therewith.

  • Flood zone limits on final plat

    Where land is subject to periodic flooding, 100-year flood zone limits must be shown on final plats.

  • Floodprone land not platted for residential occupancy

    Land subject to flooding (floodprone areas) or land recommended by the town engineer to the planning commission to be uninhabitable shall not be platted for residential occupancy, nor for such other uses as may increase danger to health, life or property, or aggravate the flood hazard.

  • Postdevelopment runoff limitation

    In no case shall the design of the drainage system allow the water quantity and quality of postdevelopment stormwater runoff to exceed predevelopment runoff quality and quantity.

  • Retention area fencing and screening

    All water retention areas shall be fenced and shall be screened by appropriate trees or shrubbery, unless the retention area is designed to function as an artificial wetland.
