  • Tiny Home means a dwelling unit of 400 square feet or less that is factory or site-built on a permanent foundation in accordance with Appendix Q to the 2018 International Building Code, and codified as Appendix Q to the 2018 Virginia Residential Code [Reference: 13 VAC 5-63-210.R (Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code, Chapter 3 Use and occupancy classification)]. In the absence of a permanent foundation, a tiny home is considered a recreational vehicle.
