  • Exempt silvicultural activities

    Silvicultural activities on lands in any A district, provided that such activities adhere to water quality protection procedures prescribed by the department of forestry.

  • Exempt utilities

    Construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electric, gas, cable and telephone transmission lines, railroads and public roads and their appurtenant structures if conducted in accordance with the Erosion and Sediment Control Law.

  • Exempt water and wastewater lines

    Construction, installation and maintenance of water, wastewater and local gas lines, provided that to the degree possible, the location of such utilities and facilities should be outside 100-year floodplain.

  • Construction of water wells; boardwalks, trails, pathways; and historic preservation and archaeological activities; provided that the Director of Environmental Engineering finds that any required permits have been issued, etc.

The following shall be prohibited within the Upper Swift Creek Watershed 100-year floodplains when the contributing drainage area exceeds 100 acres in size: clear cutting; removal of tree stumps; clearing of vegetation; filling; grading; placement of fences or other appurtenant structures.
