Signage

• Maximum incidental sign area6 sqftsq ftSquare feet. An acre is 43,560 sq ft; a typical suburban lot is 7,000–10,000.

  All buildings may provide wall-mounted incidental signage such as tenant directories, historical markers, or bulletin boards on any wall face provided they do not exceed six square feet in area.

• Monument sign minimum setbackSetbackThe distance a building must be held back from a lot line.25 ft

  Monument signs are permitted only for commercial buildings setback further than 25 feet from the right-of-way and civic buildings.

• Maximum commercial copy on murals5 pct

  Murals or similar art located on secondary building walls are permitted, provided the total area of commercial copy does not exceed five percent of the total wall area.

• Sandwich board sidewalk clear zone5 ft

  Sandwich board signs may be placed on sidewalks with a minimum clear zone on the sidewalk of five feet per Americans With Disabilities Act requirements.

• Wall sign area for non-street walls5 pct

  Maximum area (Walls not fronting on a public street): Five percent of wall area.

  Maximum area: Two square feet for each lineal foot of wall facing a public street.
