- Minimum backstop distance from target200 ft
A backstop shall be utilized to absorb the discharge load; the minimum distance may be 200 feet from the target.
- Minimum distance from firing point to property line1,000 ft
The minimum distance from any firing point measured in the direction of fire to the nearest property line shall not be less than 1,000 feet.
- No discharge towards public road
No discharge point shall be located so as to point the direction of fire towards any publicly owned and maintained road.
- Perimeter fencing and posting required
The perimeter property line and the site or area used as a shooting range or match shall be fenced, posted every 100 feet and otherwise restricted so that access to the site is controlled to ensure the safety of patrons, spectators, and the public at large.
