The home occupation shall be accessory to a principal dwelling on the same lot. The home occupation shall be conducted entirely within the principal dwelling or within an accessory building on the same lot. The home occupation shall be conducted by a person residing in the principal dwelling. The home occupation shall not employ more than 1 person who does not reside in the principal dwelling. The home occupation shall not involve the use of more than 25 percent of the gross floor area of the principal dwelling, or 500 square feet, whichever is less. The home occupation shall not involve the sale of goods or services to customers who visit the premises, except as otherwise provided in this ordinance.
