Design

  • Building orientation to street

    Buildings within the EC Overlay District shall be oriented to the street with primary entrances facing the public right-of-way.

  • Certificate of appropriateness required

    No person shall erect, construct, reconstruct, alter, restore, move, or demolish any building, structure, or other feature within the EC Overlay District without first obtaining a certificate of appropriateness.

  • Street trees required

    Landscaping shall include street trees along all public rights-of-way.

Parking

  • Parking location

    Parking areas shall be located to the side or rear of buildings to the maximum extent feasible. Parking areas located between the building and the street shall be prohibited except where no feasible alternative exists.

Uses permitted in the EC Overlay District shall be those uses permitted in the underlying zoning district, subject to the additional standards and requirements of this division.
